- 1 ½ teaspoons salt
- 3 tablespoons canola oil
- 3–3¼ cups flour
- 2 tablespoons melted butter (for topping)
- ½ teaspoon garlic salt (for topping)
- 1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese (for topping)
- Marinara sauce (for serving)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm water. Let it sit until foamy.

- Knead the dough until smooth, then let it rise in a greased bowl covered with a kitchen towel for about one hour.
- After rising, punch down the dough and divide it into 16 pieces. Roll each piece into a 12-inch rope, cutting slits to create bone shapes.
- Place shaped breadsticks on a greased baking sheet, cover, and let rise again for 45 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 425°F and bake for 12-14 minutes until golden brown.
- Brush with melted butter, sprinkle with garlic salt and parmesan cheese before serving warm with marinara sauce.
