Ingredients

Scale
  • 2.25 pounds ground beef
  • 1 pound bowtie pasta
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper, or to taste
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking beef)

Instructions

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions. Drain and reserve 1 cup of pasta water.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks. Season with Cajun spices, salt, and pepper, cooking until browned.
  3. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and beef broth; bring to a simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Mix in Parmesan and cheddar cheeses until melted into the sauce.
  6. Return the cooked beef to the skillet along with the pasta; toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water if needed.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
