  • 2 Tbsp (28g) salted butter, softened
  • 2 Tbsp half and half
  • 1/4 tsp peppermint extract
  • 1 1/2 cups (200g) powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup (42g) finely crushed peppermint bits or candy canes

Instructions

  1. Whisk together flour, cornstarch, and salt in a bowl; set aside.
  2. In an electric mixer, cream softened unsalted butter and powdered sugar until smooth.
  3. Mix in peppermint extract, then gradually add the flour mixture until just combined.
  4. Chill the dough for 1 hour; preheat oven to 350°F during the last 15 minutes.
  5. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto an ungreased baking sheet, spacing them apart.
