  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/2 cup diced strawberries
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tbsp cold water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Fold in diced strawberries.
  3. Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick; cut into heart shapes.
  4. Place half the hearts on the baking sheet, fill each with the cream cheese mixture, and top with another heart shape. Seal edges with a fork after brushing with egg wash.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
